Welcome to the 47^th Annual Sierra Nevada Region Conference registration.

On behalf of the Sierra Nevada Region Board and Leadership, I am so very pleased to invite you all to register for our SNR Annual Spring Conference! What an incredible club year we’re having.

When we think about our own Soroptimist Why? Our theme, West at its Best … For Women, reflects the very best Soroptimist practices in our Sierra Nevada Region, and showcases some of the reasons why we’ve chosen to be Soroptimists. That said, I encourage you to bring potential Soroptimists so that they can see for themselves We Are Who We Say We Are, And We Do What We Say We Do! New to Soroptimist? Kick off the Conference by attending our Soroptimist 101 Lingo Bingo on Friday afternoon!

We are thrilled to have Soroptimist International of the Americas President Stephanie Smith as our Official Visitor. You’ll be energized by her address, Power of the Collective: Small Deeds Bring Big Dreams, and she’ll be leading us in a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging interactive activity, on embracing, welcoming and including all members. She’s excited to get to know you too, so don’t be surprised if she ends up seated at your table for a meal. Meet President Stephanie at our Diamonds & Denim social hour in the Marketplace prior to dinner seating on Friday evening.

We’ll conduct the business of the Region by voting on a Bylaw amendment as well as elect our 2023-25 Nominating Committee Representatives from each District. Please see the Delegate Information and Responsibilities in this Call. There will be a Meet The Candidates and a Delegate Briefing on Friday afternoon. Throughout the weekend, we’ll be presenting awards recognizing outstanding SNR club projects that improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.

Heartwarming is our presentation that honors the remarkable members of the Sierra Nevada Region who have passed away since last year at the Celebration of Life on Sunday morning.

Ask any Soroptimist who has ever attended Spring Conference, our Live Your Dream Region Awardees presentation really brings home the Soroptimist “Why?” for many of us. Hear their stories of overcoming obstacles, a result in part due to your dedication to this signature program. Warning, bring your tissues.

Our Marketplace is a corral of the West at its Best for Soropti-shopping. We’ll have a variety of Soroptimist branded items sold by clubs, fashion items and jewelry, and informational exhibitors too. Get your act together now and be a part of our West at its Best Follies on Friday night and start taking your videos when the adventure begins for our Social Media Contest!
